Asato didn't like the rain. He huddled up further under the tree canopy and curled his tail around him further. His cloak was getting soaked through and he figured he'd eventually have to brave the full force of the spring storm to get inside the mansion and dry off, but he wasn't really looking forward to that.
Times like this, he missed his tiny hut in his home village. Or even Bardo's inn. Something warm and safe.
Like I said, for Merlin, but if someone wants to chat with a water-logged kitty, feel free to poke me.

Date: 2010-06-19 10:02 pm (UTC)Though this one's not a bard, so maybe it will help. Merlin's not even sure.

Date: 2010-06-23 05:38 am (UTC)And what do you think of the below plan?
Wil> oh, wanted to ask - how do you feel about bringing Seb into a thread with Asato and Merlin?
Lise> Oh - I can do that!
Wil> hee, cool, they're already in thread, I'll ask his typist if that's okay?
Lise> Sure thing!

Date: 2010-06-27 05:24 am (UTC)It puts him in a slightly poor mood, so when he stalks into the hut his eyes are like chips of emerald (nearly literally) until he realizes that someone else is there.
"--good afternoon," he says, with a glance at Merlin that is a plain question mark.

Date: 2010-06-28 02:02 am (UTC)"Son," he says, "This is my friend Asato, of the Ribika folk - like you and I, one of his kind, here. He was in need of shelter."
He smiles a bit.
"Asato, meet Sebastian, who lives here as well and is a dear friend, nigh kin to me."
So, shall we do Merlin-Asato-Seb, in this order? ^^

Sounds good to me. ^^

Date: 2010-06-28 03:54 am (UTC)Not in a very polite mood, perhaps. We apologize to Asato - he'll get better.

Date: 2010-06-29 03:58 am (UTC)"It's worth enough, son," Merlin replies from the cauldron he's working at filling up. "It's fate that you showed up this once."

Date: 2010-06-29 08:14 pm (UTC)He's a little surprised by the - catlikeness, but then again, he's half-incubus. No talking here.

Date: 2010-06-30 02:49 am (UTC)"You're not ever curious?" It's a totally innocent question, but that's how he's taken to mean 'mind my own business'.

Date: 2010-06-30 07:03 am (UTC)There were a lot of rocks and angry people involved in his growing up.

Date: 2010-07-01 12:35 am (UTC)Don't mind him, he'll just be there, listening, ha. It's the first time that Sebastian opens up, and he doesn't want to jinx it.
Merlin has had his share of pitchforks: that inconvenient episode with Lord Vortigern and his need for the blood of a boy who did not have a father was rather hard to forget.

Date: 2010-07-01 02:11 am (UTC)"Oh." Asato's ears lower just a bit at that. "You seem nice to me. And you have pretty eyes." He's trying to be friendly, really, and doing his best not to come across as too ignorant.
Asato is very familiar with thrown stones. And fires. And pichforks. And hate. And angry cats. And ... yeah. Let's stop there.
